Why ARC

Why ARC Was Founded

Motor loss assessing had become dependent on high-volume light motor assessors with a paint and panel background.

Specialised heavy motor machinery and plant, which is prevalent in the farm and agriculture, construction and cranes, logging industry, and civil and mining sectors, requires experts with a technical background, not panel beaters. This sector has been poorly served by the loss assessing community, and there was no national uniform approach available.

A market where pressure on loss assessors' time, fuelled by a squeeze on fees, has produced the inevitable outcome of low-cost heavy motor, machinery, and plant assessing. The sacrifice has been claims costs and client satisfaction.

ARC's Vision

Our vision and belief was that a national team of industry professionals, drawn from a variety of trades, could pool and share their knowledge, encouraging cross-pollination and offering something different.

The ability to know how a piece of equipment actually worked, how it could be repaired in a cost-effective way, its "serviceable life," and a network of contacts outside of the traditional insurance sector, would inevitably lead to a reduction in claims costs and satisfied clients.

A New Approach

Our national team of "on the road" loss assessors is supported by an administrative team that provides Australian-wide communication with all stakeholders, IT integration across multiple systems, and reporting support.

Despite the unique nature of each loss, our reporting remains consistently standardised. We achieve a national approach by cross-pollinating data from multiple sources into a central repository.

Our mission extends beyond establishing a geographic presence across Australia. We also strive to consistently provide you with all the information you need about the loss so that you can make informed decisions every time.

Why is ARC different?

At ARC Assessing, we achieve the highest customer satisfaction ratings by delivering tangible results and outcomes that not only assist our clients in reducing their claims costs but also greatly enhance renewal retention. We are able to achieve all of this because:

We have a deep understanding of not only the equipment subject to the loss but also the pressure that a client's business can experience following a loss.

We recognise that we serve as a support mechanism during the most critical times. Your customers need to become our customers. We share a common mission.
We source and employ industry experts with backgrounds in agricultural equipment, construction, heavy machinery, yellow equipment, and cranes.
We have dedicated our working lives to mastering our craft in an environment distinct from the insurance industry. We understand how machinery and plant equipment operate, what leads to failures, and where they stand in their serviceable lifecycle.
We have trained these industry experts to become insurance assessors, and we leverage their skills collectively.
We don’t simply travel to every single loss where our assistance is needed when the same results can be achieved by utilising the skills, knowledge, and network of contacts that our experts possess.
We collaborate with our clients to provide sound advice and optimal solutions.
